And last but not least, we welcome those who can play – do bring your instruments!
The Bonfire starts at 19:00!

Mary Klak – Czary Mary
Czary Mary (Spells and Hexes) is a new party-formula by Mary Klak, Szczecin-based journalist, radio presenter, whose passion is for the unobvious and exceptional sounds. At Tuesday parties you’ll hear nu-jazz, film score, downtempo and chillouts – first love of ms Klak. Among the artists Mary will play those released by Ninja Tune, Tru Thoughts or Sonar Kollektiv, while among electronic twists and turns those from Pets Recordings and Your Mama’s Friend. As for the Polish scene, big time jazz- and mad-men will sound, among them Jazzpospolita, Pink Freud, Fox and Niechęć. There’ll also be sounds with good lyrics: Peszek, Mikromusic, Koteluk. Finally, Mary Klak will pay her respect to the legends: Komeda, Nino Rota, Henry Mancini, Kurylewicz.

Documentaries with Basta
Basta – Szczecin’s Initiative for Animals – would like to invite you to watch and discuss documentaries concerning animal-rights, ecology and veganism, among others. This time we will screen „Flow: For Love of Water” – documentary about water, the essence of life, which sustains all living creatures on our planet. 'Flow' confronts the disturbing reality that our crucial resource is dwindling and greed just may be the cause.
16.-19. August (Friday-Monday)
Neighborhood Garden: Polish-German Workshop on Permaculture
Permaculture Workshop
During the workshop Robert Błaszczyk, who’s been exploring and promoting the topic for years, will teach us about the basics and project principles of permaculture, as well as its ethical tenets (permaculture – approach to environmental design which involves sustainable and self-maintained systems modeled on natural ecosystems). We will talk about how to care about our environment and how to organize the reality according to this approach – about organic agriculture, self-maintained habitats and alternative energy sources. During the practical part of the workshop we will build an eco rocket stove!
Documentary Photography Workshop
On Saturday and Sunday we will rotate between the workshop with Robert Błaszczyk and Marek Kowalczyk – our photography expert, so that all of us could try their hand at documentary photography.
Number of participants is limited.

16. August (Freitag / Friday), 21:00
DŻEM SESSION in the Garden, vol. 2
Neighborhood Garden DŻEM SESSION is a meeting of great musicians from Szczecin, from variety of genres and different music groups. The atmosphere at our DŻEM SESSIONs, which is so great we miss words to describe it, is due to at least three things: (*) the quality guaranteed by the co organizers of the event, namely music band CHANGO (with Borys Sawaszkiewicz, Maciej Kałka, Kuba Fiszer and Szymon Drabkowski) and their guests, (**) the Garden’s landscape, where vegetable-beds, yurt, express-way and the castle coexist in harmony, and (***) the all-night-long bonfire.
Of course, as during each jam session, the stage is open to all musicians – just bring your instruments and come to the DŻEM SESSION in the GARDEN!
18. August (Sunday), 16:00
Summer with Veganism, part II – Vegan Sweets (Benefit for Ukrainian Activists)
Choosing the life-style deprived of cruelty towards animals doesn’t have to mean – as commonly believed – quitting the great variety of cakes, cookies, layer cakes, cream cakes, ice-cream, candies and other fanciful sweets. We will show you how to prepare some of them with no use of eggs, milk, gelatin and other animal products. We’ll try to show you how simple veganism is, but most of all how delicious!
During the presentation you’ll have an opportunity to lend a small financial support for activists who fight for better fate for animals in Ukraine.
23. August (Friday), 21:00
BaBu Król – concert
BABU KRÓL is a duet made by Bajzel and Budyń, POGODNO’s musicians. This time they pay their respect to Edward Stachura – they dug up his poems from under a pile of old woollies and slushy scout singing. Their record’s material is pure strength and magic.
Budyń and Bajzel return to KANA year after their concert during Bonds of Culture festival, during which the new album of BaBu Król was born. Their record will be released only in September – come to the Neighbor’s Garden for pre-release concert of the material!
30. August (Friday), 20:00
Roots Reggae Time: PP Tatinek / purpleHaze / Radrik / Jr. Bajabajk
Friday, 30th of August, the end of summer holiday is near – what to do on the last weekend before school year? We decided to get serious about it and to have a summer-end party! Our speakers will release waves of positive vibrations in the rhythm of reggae, dub, ska and jungle, provided by: PP Tatinek, purpleHaze, Radrik and Jr. Bajabajk. It’ll be a party you cannot miss!
31. August (Saturday)
Szczecin’s Diversity Kaleidoscope
On 31st of August we will spin the Kaleidoscope of Diversity. You will have an opportunity to meet representatives from NGOs, informal groups and initiatives and to have an encounter with what’s interesting and non-obvious. During the whole day there will be various meetings and workshops running in parallel, and in the late evening we will begin to end the day with a party.
Coorganizers: Women’s Zone (Strefa Kobiet, strefakobiet.org) / Gender Club, Cultural Studies and Polish Philology Institute at Szczecin’s University
