Documentaries with Basta!
„Home”
In the past 200,000 years, humans have upset the balance of planet Earth, a balance established by nearly four billion years of evolution. We must act now. It is too late to be a pessimist. The price is too high. Humanity has little time to reverse the trend and change its patterns of consumption.
Through visually stunning footage from over fifty countries, all shot from an aerial perspective, Yann Arthus–Bertrand shows us a view most of us have never seen. He shares with us his sense of awe about our planet and his concern for its health. With this film, Arthus-Bertrand hopes to provide a stepping-stone to further the call to action to take care of our HOME.
7 September, 15:00
Paint and Sing – workshop for children
During the workshop we’ll create garden historie with the use of paint and sound. We’ll paint the scenes from garden life which will be colored with the music we will create and perform ourselves.

Rusland Trio – concert
Rusland Trio is made by young siblings, Melchior 16, Marcelina 11 and Staś 9 years old, native Kashubians, from Szroeder family known for its musical tradition. Their age is no obstacle to the three in making fiery versions of rock classics and rock interpretations of contemporary music. Marcelina’s voice has genuine rock-“claw” and spontaneous authenticity, guitar solos and improvisations by Melchior take us back in time to the times when music was synonymous with revolt and freedom, while Staś’s drumming takes all the pieces and, thanks to the extraordinary feeling of rhythm and athmosphere, delivers a perfect whole.
Occasionally the band is joined by Michał Sierosławski, bass player from Słupsk, supplementing the sound with low frequencies.
The whole combines fresh, unpretentious and young character expressed via powerful sounds.
14 September, 11:00-14:00 i 15:00-18:00
Drumming Workshop
All fascinated with rhythm and percussion instruments are invited to drumming workshop with Lech “Groszek” Grochala during which the beginners will get familiar with percussion instruments and the basics of drumming while the more advanced will be invited to play and learn together. The workshop will end with an evening performance by the workshop-group which, if the weather allows, will take place in the garden by the bonfire.

Next part – kilning of the ceramics in the Garden – will take place on one of the following weekends (depending on weather conditions). All the participants will be informed about the time.

ZOO It’s 21st century – Great Ape Project is trying to promote the rights of apes, many places in the world introduced bans on animal presence in circuses, Costa Rica changes its ZOOs into botanical gardens, while Szczecin sees the beginning of foundation whose aim is to start a ZOO in our city!
We will screen a movie unveiling the life of animals in ZOOs and we will discuss ways to make sure Szczecin remains a ZOO-free zone.

Garden Workshop. Permaculture and Urban Community Gardens - questions about future.
A warm invitation to the last Polish-German workshop in Neighborhood Garden! We began in June and July learning how to make an urban garden and applying the knowledge on site. Last time, in August, we got introduced to permaculture.
In September we will continue with permaculture – we will work in the garden applying the rules of permaculture, we will discuss the possibility of the implementation of the principles of permaculture in the city.
Both garden veterans and beginners are invited!
Contact: [email protected]
Number of participants is limited.
21 September, 21:30
Dżem Session
Neighborhood Garden DŻEM SESSION is a meeting of great musicians from Szczecin, from variety of genres and different music groups. The atmosphere at our DŻEM SESSIONs, which is so great we miss words to describe it, is due to at least three things: (*) the quality guaranteed by the co organizers of the event, namely music band CHANGO (with Borys Sawaszkiewicz, Maciej Kałka, Kuba Fiszer and Szymon Drabkowski) and their guests, (**) the Garden’s landscape, where vegetable-beds, yurt, express-way and the castle coexist in harmony, and (***) the all-night-long bonfire.
Of course, as during each jam session, the stage is open to all musicians – just bring your instruments and come to the DŻEM SESSION in the GARDEN!
22 September, 15:00
Floristics Workshop for adults
We warmly invite you to floristics workshop with the master of floristics, Iwona Kalinowska. This won’t be a usual floristics workshop – instead of what’s at the florist or stores for professionals we will make our floristic compositions from what can be found around us.
Contact: Iwona Kalinowska / +48 503 149 129 / [email protected]
Floristics Workshop for children
Floristics workshop with children is not a regular workshop – their ideas escape the beauty standards, being beautiful of and on their own. That’s why the Zielony Kombinat teaches the technique or the starting idea, while leaves the process and final composition entirely to children’s imagination. We will use fruits, vegetables, planks, wires, etc.
