JUNE IN THE GARDEN:
21-23 of June: Community Urban Gardening Workshop
The first workshop in the series within the Neighbour’s Garden Project will bring to Szczecin people who since 4 years have been running the community urban garden "prinzessinnengarten" in the very center of Berlin (Kreuzberg neighbourhood).
The workshop will consist of two parts – „lectures“ on community urban gardening, protection of plants against the urban environment influence (e.g. heavy metals), and of the practice-part – during which, together with the experts, we’ll be working in the garden, building the garden infrastructure, applying the knowledge about plant-protection in practice, and last but not least we’ll have fun.
What’s on us: food, tools, atmosphere (great, of course) and practical and theoretical knowledge to be gained.
What’s on participants: English (at least communicative), working clothes (including shoes and gloves), ecological attitude and willingness to work in the garden (remember, garden practice will be among workshop activities!)
Workshop experts:
Jonathan Hammet (prinzessinnengarten)
Matthias Wilkens (prinzessinnengarten)
